Monday Links

On Twitter and Facebook I share links each day to various stuff that I think is great and/or worth people’s time. But not everyone that comes here is on Twitter or Facebook, so I gather up the best of those links each Monday and post them here so everyone can get in on the fun. If you’ve missed any of the past Monday Links (or just want to waste some time), check out the archive here.

You should go stream Field Report’s new album before its release tomorrow. Then go buy it tomorrow. It’s one of the best things you’ll hear all year.

How to start your week out right: head over to Jay William Henderson’s Bandcamp page and grab his latest record, Hymns to My Amnesia– it’s name your price/free, and it’s exceptional.

This new tune from David Wax Museum is all sorts of lovely, as you’d expect.

Fort Frances is currently working on a new album, which I’m very excited for (and you should be, too). Here they are in the back of a brewery playing ‘Sigh of Relief,’ a fantastic tune that’s likely going to be on said new album.

The thing about these acoustic videos from First Aid Kit is that they never get old and I always love them.

Oh, hey, just Michael Kiwanuka covering ‘Waitin’ ’round To Die.’

Want to watch/listen to Ben Howard and his band play their whole new album live before it comes out later this month? You’re in luck.

Ryan Adams covers Foreigner, because Ryan Adams is a national treasure.

Here are two more live takes of tunes from that Shakey Graves album that comes out tomorrow… and one that’s not even on it. Guy is a good-music-making machine. Enjoy.
