Monday Links

On Twitter and Facebook I share links each day to various stuff that I think is great and/or worth people’s time. But not everyone that comes here is on Twitter or Facebook, so I gather up the best of those links each Monday and post them here so everyone can get in on the fun. If you’ve missed any of the past Monday Links (or just want to waste some time), check out the archive here.

New albums from Ryan Adams, Justin Townes Earle and The Wooden Sky are all streaming. You should give each of them a listen or 12 ahead of their release.

This video of Conor Oberst, First Aid Kit and Dawes playing ‘Lua’ brings back the memories. I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning is still fantastic.

Here’s Ark Life playing a slowed down version of ‘You’re With Me.’ Damn do I love this song.

Jeremy over at Hi 5 For Lo Fi explains why Bandcamp is the best option for artists (especially now that Soundcloud is going to an ad service).

Just Cataldo playing one of my favorite songs of the year (‘Other Side’) at a soccer practice. Happens all the time I’m sure.

Bear’s Den playing ‘Bad Blood.’ Yes, please.

And here’s Afie from Bahamas playing a solo version of ‘Stronger Than That’ on the CBC.

This Tiny Ruins Take Away Show is some kind of lovely.

Because it’s Labor Day and ‘Summer Skin’ is the only song I think of when it’s this day. Enjoy.
