Slow Club’s cover of Future Islands’ inescapable ‘Seasons (Waiting On You)’ trades in the anxious, chugging synths for a simple, fragile, nearly non-existent piano. It works out quite well, as you’ll hear below, successfully transforming a summer jam into a sadly beautiful lullaby, proving once again that great songs are great songs, fully filled out or stripped down. Enjoy.
Bonus: Because I’ve somehow managed to not post it yet, here’s the original. Get familiar if you haven’t yet- guessing this will be on many-a summer playlist.
