‘Tumbleweed’- Esmé Patterson

‘Tumbleweed’ is Esmé Patterson’s ferocious, damn catchy middle-finger of a response to Townes Van Zandt’s ‘Loretta.’ The first track on an album written from the perspective of women popularized in the names of classic songs, ‘Tumbleweed’ finds Patterson giving Loretta the compelling voice and say in the story that Van Zandt never did. If you’re looking for an album to get very excited about, Woman to Woman, which comes out April 15th, is the one. Enjoy.
