On Twitter (and Facebook) I share links each day to various stuff that I think is great and/or worth people’s time. But not everyone that comes here is on Twitter or Facebook, so I gather up the best of those links each Monday and post them here so everyone can get in on the fun. If you’ve missed any of the past Monday Links (or just want to waste some time), check the archive of posts here.
Best way to start the week? Charles Bradley in an empty church for La Blogotheque. Goodness.
Next best way to start your week? With the fall mix that Heather from Fuel/Friends put together (and posted a few weeks ago and I forgot to link to, so, you know, whoops/sorry/better late than never). It’s terrific from start to finish. Go get it.
Daughter stopped by and recorded an NPR Tiny Desk concert a little while back. It’s real, real, real good.
Kathleen Tarrant wrote the best thing I’ve read in a long, long while for Sound on the Sound last week on music, being a fan and how to correctly deal with the success of your favorite band.
It’s now funded (really should have posted this earlier), but you should really consider giving to Jay William Henderson’s Kickstarter. I mean, you like music like this, right? (The answer is ‘Yes, Adam, I/we LOVE that stuff.’)
The Pitchfork Review Generator is the best thing the internet has maybe ever given to us. Not even kidding.
‘You’re not gonna end today’s links with Shakey Graves videos again, are you Adam?’ Yes, yes I am. Enjoy.
