‘Two Kids’- Strand of Oaks

Saturday night, in the middle of a opening set full of loud, crunching songs about space and The Pope, in a room filled past the brim with people eager to see Phosphorescent, Tim Showalter, the man behind Strand of Oaks, sneakily and unsuspectingly launched into ‘Two Kids.’

The short, delicate, realistic love song almost immediately stunned the room into silence. It was beautiful.

That moment, and that song, has been on my mind since. Enjoy.

That’s a good song. I hadn’t heard that version before but there’s a good cover by Jason Anderson off of a Song A Day project he did. I can send that to you if you want.

Love this song. Thanks for reminding me.
