‘Hands on the Table’ (Live at The Warehouse)- Damien Jurado

Sunday seems like a good day to recommend you carve out some time to watch this YouTube playlist of Damien Jurado’s recent show in an old church in Tacoma, Washington. I’ve been stuck on ‘Hands on the Table,’ a new (I believe, since I can’t find mention of it anywhere else) tune that is breathtaking and sad and brilliant- so, basically all of the things you and I love about Jurado’s tunes.

Damien Jurado is currently finishing work on his next album and will be playing a string of shows and house shows around the midwest/west in May- you should most assuredly go to one if you can (I’ll be making the trek to the Iowa City house show). enjoy.

This guy is probably the best singer/songwriter of the decade.
