‘Blurry Nights’- Hayden

I spent the majority of this dreary Monday immersed in the brilliant, beautiful new album from Hayden, Us Alone. Paul Hayden Desser has crafted an album that is understated yet affecting, plainly dissecting relationships and troubles over softly crunching guitars, drifting keys and gently driving drums. The obvious standout, to me, is the charming, bouncing song-conversation between Desser and Lou Canon that is ‘Blurry Nights.’ You know those songs you identify as liking a great deal on first listen and then all the sudden you’re 20 listens deep? ‘Blurry Nights’ was that for me today.

You can, and should, pick up Us Alone right now. Enjoy.
