Monday Links

On Twitter I share links each day to various stuff that I think is great and/or worth people’s time. But not everyone that comes here is on Twitter, so I gather up the best of those links each Monday and post them here so everyone can get in on the fun. If you’ve missed any of the past Monday links (or just want to waste some time), check the archive of posts here.

Just a friendly reminder: Tons and tons of great stuff is streaming ahead of its release tomorrow here in the US, including new albums from Night BedsJim JamesThao & The Get Down Stay DownFrightened Rabbit and Matt Pond PA. Listen up (or listen again).

Jessica over at New Music Collaborative posted some beautiful, brave words to go with a fantastic, brave mix. Head on over there to read what she penned and grab a free download of the mix.

Having Trampled By Turtles stop by and play some songs/answer some questions is just a normal day for the young folks in LHS Room 125. In related news, I am jealous of all the kids in LHS Room 125.

Hey Marseilles’ album doesn’t come out until March 5th, but you can take a listen to two of the tracks from it and download a third over on NPR.

Josh Ritter’s new album also comes out March 5th. It’s gonna be a good one, kids. Here’s another new track, ‘In Your Arms Again,’ to whet your appetite.

Neither one of these (one, two) articles has anything to do with music, but they were both fascinating reads for so many reasons. You should read them both, even if you don’t like sports and such.

La Blogotheque filmed Local Natives playing in a flat in Paris. It looks like an okay time, I guess. Enjoy.
