Monday Links

On Twitter I share links each day to various stuff that I think is great and/or worth people’s time. But not everyone that comes here is on Twitter, so I gather up the best of those links each Monday and post them here so everyone can get in on the fun. If you’ve missed any of the past Monday links (or just want to waste some time), check the archive of posts here. Enjoy.

I’m really, really hoping that the internet can produce a full version of Tallest Man on Earth covering Damien Jurado’s ‘Museum of Flight’ at some point, but until then this abbreviated one will have to do. Whoa.

Courtney Marie Andrews is a new name to me. This video of her playing ‘It Keeps Going’ will ensure it’s not one I (or you) forgot anytime soon.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis stopped by NPR recently to play a Tiny Desk Concert. It was pretty awesome, as you can see below.

As this video of Local Natives playing an acoustic version of ‘Breakers’ in Paris shows, music always sounds best by the water.

Badly need a compliment right now to make you feel better? Emergency Compliment has you covered (and wins the internet for forever).

This video of Calexico and Blind Pilot covering Gillian Welch’s ‘Look At Miss Ohio’ is just lovely. Absolutely lovely.

Donovan Woods is prepping a new album for release in the not too distant future. This song won’t be on there (Donovan apparently gifted it to a friend), but it is insanely good.

Need a new winter mix to listen to? My buddy David over at Music Means Family put together one that’s more than worth your time.

Lemolo released an absolutely gorgeous video for their absolutely gorgeous tune ‘Letters’ last week. I think you’re going to love it.

Goodness. This video of Field Report playing ‘Taking Alcatraz’ on the streets of Easton, MD is some kind of spectacular. Enjoy.
