Monday Links

On Twitter I share links each day to various stuff that I think is great and/or worth people’s time. But not everyone that comes here is on Twitter, so I gather up the best of those links each Monday and post them here so everyone can get in on the fun. If you’ve missed any of the past Monday links (or just want to waste some time), check the archive of posts here. Enjoy.

They both come out this week, but just a reminder that you can now stream the new album from Kopecky Family Band and the new one from Aidan Knight. Both are excellent.

Heather over at Fuel/Friends posted her Autumn mix last week. It’s perfect from start to finish. You need to go download it ASAP.

Sometimes something is wholly entertaining and makes you want to vomit at the same time. This competitive eater’s review of the food he ate at Guy Fieri’s new restaurant is one of those types of things.

The Lumineers are playing a charming new song out on the road. Here’s some video of it.

Sound on the Sound posted their newest Doe Bay Session last week featuring Big Sur. It is stunning. Absolutely stunning.

Sleepover Shows set with Ben Sollee went live last week. It was filled in a chocolate factory and it’s fantastic. Watch ‘Something, Somewhere, Sometime’ below and then head over to the Sleepover Shows site for the other two videos from the session.

Here’s some video of Jon from The Head and The Heart pcovering ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ as part of his solo show in Seattle recently. You can watch a good chunk of his set (he played lots of new songs, kids) right here.

I finally got around to updating the ‘What I’m Listening To’ playlist on Spotify. Sorry about the long delay in doing so. Oh, and don’t forget to add some seasonally appropriate tunes to the collaborative Autumn playlist if you feel so inclined.

No big deal, just Noah Gundersen with friends and family covering Neil Young’s ‘Hey Hey, My My’ in a church. Wow. Enjoy.

Oh my god, that Neil Young cover…! I have goosebumps everywhere now. I’ve always loved that song, and this really does credit to its creepy/scary side.
