‘The Man Who Lives Forever’- Lord Huron

Last night in a packed, sweaty Schubas Tavern I watched as Lord Huron delivered one of the most refreshing sets I’ve seen all year. There were a whole lot of high points during the hour-plus they played, but it was ‘The Man Who Lives Forever’ that was the big highlight, the amped up crowd dancing, hootin’ and hollerin’ as Ben Schneider wove his tale of desperate, unending love over that insanely gorgeous melody. It was a good night. A really, really good night.

Lord Huron released Lonesome Dreams last week. It’s an absolutely phenomenal record, one that’s worth your time and money (and likely a spot on your very own ‘Best of 2012’ list when the time comes). Enjoy.
