‘Dangling Teeth’- Kelli Scarr

Over the last few weeks, as the days have grown longer and the temperatures have crept up, I’ve been listening a great deal to ‘Dangling Teeth’ by Kelli Scarr. There’s something about the 1-2 punch of Scarr’s smoky, sweet voice and that quietly wailing slide guitar that has sounded so, so right in every situation I’ve heard them in, whether it be during a morning commute or as part of the soundtrack to an afternoon spent by the pool. Summer jams don’t always have to be full of crunchy guitars and anthemic choruses- sometimes they just need to force us to ask: ‘What would we change if snow never came?’

Kelli Scarr will be releasing Dangling Teeth on June 5th. Enjoy.
