Monday Links

On Twitter I share links each day to various stuff that I think is great and/or worth people’s time. But not everyone that comes here is on Twitter, so I gather up the best of those links each Monday and post them here so everyone can get in on the fun. If you’ve missed any of the past Monday links (or just want to waste some time), check the archive of posts here. Enjoy.

The newest Fuel/Friends Chapel Session was posted last week, this one with Adam Arcuragi. I kinda forgot how much I love ‘Port Song.’ Take a look at/listen to it below and then head over and download the entire session.

Some Daytrotter sessions worth checking out (if you haven’t yet): Dan Mangan, Kelli Scarr, Gary Clark Jr. and Gregory Alan Isakov.

Another airy, beautiful track from Sigur Rós’ upcoming album (due out May 28th) has popped up online. Take a listen to ‘Varúð.

Field Report’s debut album doesn’t come out until the middle of summer, but I’m pretty confident it’s going to be tremendous. We’ve already been introduced to the gorgeous ‘Fergus Falls,’ ( of which some fantastic video of them playing it live at SXSW recently popped up on the interwebs- it’s below) and last week Pitchfork posted another fantastic track for you to download titled ‘Taking Alcatraz.’

Tumblr is the best/dumbest thing to ever happen to humanity. Newest case in point: Bon Iver Erotic Stories. Don’t worry, they are safe for work. And they are hilarious.

Laura Marling stopped by OPB Studios and played a 4 song set of tunes from her most recent album. As you would expect, it’s gorgeous.

Nick Waterhouse’s debut album Time’s All Gone comes out tomorrow, but you can get a listen to the songs on it (and some that aren’t) thanks to the below live recording from Berlin. Get ready to dance.

Lots of wild weather swings lately- it’s been close to freezing overnight for most of the last week and in a few days it will be in the 80s… oh, and lots of thunderstorms popping up out of nowhere- showing that spring is indeed in full effect. If you haven’t already, you should check out the collaborative spring playlist on Spotify. I would love for you to add any songs that you think sound like the season. Don’t be shy.

I’m not sure when the new Nathaniel Rateliff album will be coming out, but based on all the songs we’ve heard from it so far from random sources I think we can be pretty sure it’s going to be stupendous. The below video of another new one named ‘Just For Me But I Thought of You’ only further convinces me of this. Enjoy.
