Monday Links

On Twitter and Facebook I share links each day to various stuff that I think is great and/or worth people’s time. But not everyone that comes here is on Twitter or Facebook, so I gather up the best of those links each Monday and post them here so everyone can get in on the fun. If you’ve missed any of the past Monday Links (or just want to waste some time), check the archive of posts here.

The new albums from PHOX and Strand of Oaks are streaming right now ahead of their release tomorrow. You’d do well to give them a listen.

This video of Ages and Ages performing with family, a children’s choir and a posse of Portland all-stars is one of my favorite things I’ve seen this year.

If I was posting this week I’d obviously be putting up a standalone post for this tremendous new song from Michael Kiwanuka.

Least favorite stuff I’ve read this year? Probably all about how YouTube is working hard to screw over artists. Not okay.

Alice Boman’s spare take on The War On Drugs’ ‘Red Eyes’ is just lovely.

New album from Dry the River is on the way. Here’s the first single from it, ‘Gethsemane.’ Get excited.

New song from You Me and Apollo? Pleaseandthanks.

First Aid Kit covering Phossy? Yes, please. Enjoy.
