Monday Links

On Twitter and Facebook I share links each day to various stuff that I think is great and/or worth people’s time. But not everyone that comes here is on Twitter or Facebook, so I gather up the best of those links each Monday and post them here so everyone can get in on the fun. If you’ve missed any of the past Monday Links (or just want to waste some time), check the archive of posts here.

Quick note: I’m currently in the process of settling in a new home SLASH going to be making the drive back and forth from Denver to Chicago this weekend, so I’ll just go ahead and say that aside from this (late) Monday Links and next Monday’s edition I’ll be taking this week and next off. I could lie to you and tell you I’ll be listening to awesome new music during this time, but chances are I’ll be listening to podcasts and old mixes. So anyhow, I’ll be back posting daily in a week and a half. Onward to the goods….

As mentioned yesterday, NPR is streaming the new albums from PHOX and Strand of Oaks ahead of their respective releases next week. You need both of those in your life/ears.

Hadn’t heard of The Bronze Medal before seeing this video, but now I want to know all about them.

Just Sylvan Esso playing ‘Hey Mami’ on a roof with horns. I mean, it’s okay I GUESS.

Not music related, but I’m pretty excited to get my heart completely ripped out by the next Pixar movie next summer.

A new song from Langhorne Slim? Yes, please.

It is impossible for First Aid Kit to do any wrong, I think. Here they are playing ‘Stay Gold.’

Lucius is just lovely.

Growing more impatient by the day for the album Shakey Graves has been working on for what seems like ever. This video doesn’t help. Enjoy.
